2017 Windgate Museum Internship Host Institutions Announced

The Windgate Museum Internship program provides $5,000 stipends to four undergraduate or graduate students who work under the direction of curators or directors in contemporary craft collections, exhibitions, and programs in museums or organizations nationally. After reviewing applications from a diverse and compelling group of museums, CCCD is pleased to announce the 2017 Windgate Museum Internship Host Institutions: American Museum of Ceramic Art, Asheville Art Museum, Charles Allis-Villa Terrace Art Museums, and Minnesota Center for Book Arts.

The Center for Craft, Creativity & Design launches “Craft City”

The Center for Craft, Creativity & Design (CCCD) debuts a new program series this summer that honors Asheville as “Craft City.” At three outdoor pop-up studios this summer (July 7, August 4, and September 1) people of all skill levels and backgrounds can make a take-home craft under the guidance of a visiting artist.
