Now in its thirteenth year, the Windgate Fellowship Award continues to be one of the most prestigious and sought-after awards for emerging craft artists in America. Each year more than 100 universities from across the United States are invited to nominate two graduating seniors with exemplary skill to apply for a fellowship award of $15,000 to support a project that will further their careers and contribute to the advancement of the field. Ten fellowships are awarded each year.

The 2017 Windgate Fellowship award cycle is now closed, applications are by invitation only. Each participating university can nominate up to two students per year. Students interested in applying for next cycle should contact their advisor to check if their school is participating in the program.

If you work for an accredited institution with a strong art, craft or design program and are interested in participating, please contact Anna Helgeson, Grants and Office Coordinator at for further information.
