RESIDENCIES

Nina Hole has participated in residencies throughout the world, creating her huge architectural "Fire Sculptures," through a process she developed. The final unveiling of the Fire Sculpture and celebration of this exciting process will be open to the public.

David Nash, nationally recognized wood sculptor and land artist from Wales, accepted a residency invitation from CCCD for April 2003. Planning began in summer 2001 with representatives of the four UNC campus art departments involved in the residency - UNC-Asheville, Appalachian State University, Western Carolina University and East Carolina University - together with Penland School of Crafts where the residency took place.
